Sheriff Voice White 02 (unfinished but releasing)

Featured Replies

Well, I've been working on putting my favorite voice from GTA5 into GTA4. I've gotten about 67% done replacing every single voice line, but I'm out of voice lines and really don't want to have him repeat himself too much.

It's at a state of my liking, but not a state of being considered a finished mod.

So I'm posting it here in this topic. It replaces a mass majority of the voice lines that the AI police use when they are in combat against the player and most lines when the police are doing their normal thing. Now this statement may not be true if you use it with LCPDFR, you might here the stock voice a bit more. I never use LCPDFR so I would not know first hand.

Here's a video first showing a short chase with the voice used, and a showcase of the voice after the pursuit ends:

I know the video quality if pretty bad, and the video and audio is off synced. Sorry.

Here's a download link to those who want it:

Just replace the one located in speech.rpf in this directory: ...Grand Theft Auto IVpcaudioSfx (for EFLC: ...EFLCpcaudiosfx)

NOTE: I will not be providing you with a backup for the file that is being replaced. Make sure you backup your files, before replacing, if you decide to remove this mod. You have been warned.

Please enjoy.

Also, as a final note, I don't plan on working on this any further. Like I stated before, I like the current state of the mod and someone can continue it if they wish. Just credit me if you work off of my file, thank you.

Final final note, my buddy Olanov is working on the other sheriff voice. I don't know his progress, but I do pester him to work on it some more. :)

I can upload the script that I made to help me later tonight if you want.  It renames all of the voices based on their hash (from a list provided by MulleDK over at GTAForums) and also auto renames some of them to fit in with GTA IV like replacing BUDDY_DOWN to OFFICER_DOWN.

I would honestly advise against modding the voices too much though, it can cause a lot of stability problems.  Also, if you use LCPDFR, it's not really an option in my opinion.

OMG yes! I can finally play as a deputy and not have to scream "LCPD get down on the ground".

My favorite quote is by far "You won't catch me speaking any Spanish"
