no GTA5 for pc wondering ?

I'm probably the only one who realises that R* will release a GTA V PC Port when and if they want to.

Nope:

It'll come or it won't, and no amount of speculation or pleading on your part would meaningfully affect Rockstar's decision on whether or not to release a port. Why worry about it?

    that's a load of BS

Just my 2ct: I bought GTA V for PS3 because I can't wait for the PC release but to my own surprise it got boring already. There is not much to do once all missions are completed and I have even managed to visit each and every corner of this huge map at least once. I'm under the impression it took longer to do that in Liberty City.

So currently I think GTA V (on PC) will only guarantee long time fun when we finally get those mods which we love in GTA IV and most of all that would be LSPDFR of course.

R* doesn’t care about any petions lol

You never know. If Rockstar cares any bit about their fans, and the people who buy their games, they would listen to them.

You don't know that!

If Rockstar decided on whether or not to make a PC port (which is a pretty major business decision; porting is expensive, and the programmers involved could otherwise be working on other projects) based on an Internet petition, they probably wouldn't still be in business. Internet petitions are utterly meaningless for any real purpose - since there's literally no cost whatsoever to sign them, they don't convey any useful information. Rockstar will not and should not decide anything important based on a petition - those sorts of things are fine to make minor decisions, but for important things, they're much more likely to look at what will make them more money.

What meaningful information does that petition give? Don't say "it shows a lot of people want GTA V to be ported" - it doesn't. The problem with Internet petitions is that there is next to zero cost for the petitioners, so the message has nothing to indicate any form of sincerity.

You say "if Rockstar cares about their fans, they'd listen to them." Rockstar does have to pay attention to what potential customers want. But an online petition is a terrible way to do this. Because there's no cost on the signer's end, it completely fails as a signal.

What if they came up with a way to charge to sign a petition? let's say a $1.00 a person, given the amount of people that want this game ported to PC, i'd say people would be willing to give only $1.00, it does add up & with the funds, theres your game.

I don't need GTA V for PC, I've got LCPDFR 1.0b! Yay! Hopefully there will be an LCPDFR 1.0c then 'D' and then 'E.'

Yeah right and now imagine that in Los Santos.

  • 3 weeks later...

Ill throw my 2 cents worth in here.  For 1 R* bans people who inquire about a pc release on news wire hmmm would seem to me they don't want to talk about it and to me all the sneaking around is old and way over done.  I went from wanting V for pc to not caring and now to the point where im not sure id even buy it.  Just because of the BS they put fans through.  If its coming then just say yes it will eventually and be done if not then say so but don't flip us the bird for asking thats just plain dumb and who ever made that decision is obviously pretty stupid.  At this point its gonna take something pretty amazing for me to even car what R* dose from now on.  If they release a pc version good for them not sure ill get it since they chose to deal with fans in such a poor manor.  And to think we pay them money to be treated like this.  Rant off like it or not its my thoughts
