Crashing when I want to call out a putsuit

Hey guys,

I've had problems before and both times you guys were able to help me so I hope that you can help me this time aswell.

I've played LCPDFR without any problems (besides the random crashes but I'm totally fine with those) for the last months but since yesterday my game crashes when I want to call out a pursuit. Everything else works. I can join active pursuits, pursue suspects alone without calling out the pursuit, take calls and so on. I've already tried reinstalling it and reinstalling it on a clean install but it still crashes.

To answer the normal questions: Yes I have a legal copy of GTA IV, it is version 1.0.7.0, yes I have installed all the necessary redists.

Other mods I use:

Wouters callouts

VIPPU script

Sams Traffic Flow

Less Overtake script.

I'll provide the necessary logs.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

The only crash I can see which is recent is one in which you get an unfound method. When you installed 1.0b did you make absolutely sure to remove all previous versions of LCPDFR and install only 1.0b?

1.0b includes all the latest patches within the installer itself so you don't need to install 1.0 then 1.0a then 1.0b, you only install 1.0b.

I guess you've seen the parts where it says can't GetValue (not entirely sure if it really says it that way I'm on my phone and can't open the log). Normally that's what happens when it crashes.

The only "GetValue" lines you have are the warnings when the settings file is being read for LCPDFR. Every single person in the history of the world gets those values. They're printed because there is a method catching an error that says those values can't be found. Otherwise they would cause a crash. I highly doubt they are causing the crash because those values are initialised at the very beginning of the script rather than, as you say, during a pursuit.

So try adding the line that I said and see if it works.

So since it happend with my back up aswell I decided to download GTA 4 again and now it works just fine. I guess it were componenets that were left from 1.0a. Thanks for your help Luke.

Glad it's working for you now, enjoy.
