Unhandled exceptions. Arrest and Callouts broken.

Featured Replies

I've been enjoying this mod for a while but recently i tried to install a GTA V minigun which kinda broke my game, so i reinstalled and added LCPDFR back into GTAIV along with some other mods like PoliceHelper and the Policing Script. I also installed the simple native trainer and custom models for the SMG, M4 and Deagle. So to begin, the game constantly says "A new version is available! 0.95 RC2." and right below that message is my current version of the mod, which is 0.95 RC2, just as the message says. I'm sure i've downloaded the latest version of LCPDFR and GTAIV should be fully updated as i just reinstalled it. I have bought GTAIV on steam if that changes anything.

So as soon as i enter the PD and select my model i get an instant "Unhandled exception error in the LCPDFR (Object target does not match object type" error. After this, if i go outside and try to arrest anyone, they will raise their hands (Probably due to the Policing script) but i cannot arrest them if i walk up behind them. The callouts are also glitched most the time. I think the only working callouts are suicidal suspects, Drug deals and Muggings. Anything else just gets another Unhandled exception error and the event disappears.

I have removed the Native trainer and i highly doubt that the custom gun models would interfere with arrest scripts. I have already turned off "Read-only" only the GTAIV directory but it just turns itself back on no matter how much i try. I have tried quite a lot of things and i'm not really sure what's up with it, but all i know is that the mod was working before i reinstalled GTAIV and isn't working now. Help please.

Hi,

I would highly suggest you uninstall everything, reinstall GTA IV clean and then install LCPDFR 1.0b rather than the older versions. You can then use the diagnostics tool to verify it was installed correctly, and run the game.

LCPDFR 1.0b is more resource demanding so install more mods afterwards with care, be sure to make a backup of GTA IV before installing any mods at all.

I have already reinstalled both GTAIV and LCPDFR completely. I'm sure that it's the latest version of both but i still haven't run the diagnostics tool yet. I'm gonna try that now.

EDIT: Ok. The diagnostics tool just fails to respond after i check GTAIV. I haven't used the diagnostics tool yet, so i don't know how to use it. I did run it as admin though. CPU, RAM, Framework 4.0, C++ and GTAIV are all checked off.

"Just to get a bit of help" Dude, have you seen the post that LukeD made? He is giving you help, a detailed reply from him. Give him some time to respond, he isn't doing this for money, and he doesn't have to reply.

On topic: Have you reinstalled the game by deleteting the main directory after uninstall? Have you installed all the redists? Have you read the LCPDFR 1.0 manual?
