You just can't compare Ethernet over WiFi. My WiFi speeds were like a sixth of this.

This. If you want speed, Ethernet is the only actual way to get it (yes, even with 802.11ac - despite the rated 1300 Mbps, it actually generally runs under 500 Mbps, and goes down more the further you get from the AP). That's actually why my room internet is slower - my current dorm is wired with 100BASE-TX (the 800 Mbps were from the computer cluster in the dorm I'll be in next year; I'm hopeful that I'll have gigabit Ethernet in my room).
