Im always in a pursuit and wanting to take primary but there is always a cop passing me, pitting me, wrecking into me, ect. i think it would be cool if the assisting A.I. officers knew who was primary and followed you until you wrecked of if they had a faster vehicle. also it would be cool if you could request primary in a pursuit too and they would get over to let you pass. i certainly think this would be awesome and im just wondering what you guys think. and yes i now REALIZE IVE POSTED IN THE WRONG SECTION

I don't know coding but I doubt that'd be possible

It would indeed be nice if that would be possible. However, with the retarded GTA AI, it isn't really possible.

i just think it would be cool. thats all im saying.

I think it might be able to be done. Don't expect it to be anything like real life tho. The AI will still drive like drunkards, & this might not be as effective in city streets as in the open highway, but....

Since I know there's "driving styles" in GTA:IV, maybe, the primary cop has a aggressive driving style, while other cops are set to follow the primary cop with a more slow, passive style.

When the player asks to be primary cop, the primary cop turns into a traffic driving style (the other AI cops still being set to follow previous primary AI cop), thus letting you pass.

Then, you can press a (combination of) button(s) to let the script know that you're primary cop now, & then the previous primary AI cop will be set to follow you with the slow, passive style, along with the other cops.

It will require quite a bit of coding, but this basic one should be possible I think.

Although, I think our coders have more important stuff to do right now that this (more callouts, etc.). But we might see it in the future.

EDIT: I'm not really familiar with the different driving styles in GTA:IV since I didn't experiment with it much, but I think there are sufficient styles that should make it possible (slow, traffic laws abiding.   Slow, not abiding traffic laws.   Fast, not abiding traffic laws, etc. [Traffic laws, ofc being, stopping at red lights, not overtaking, etc.] )
