Modeling programs

Featured Replies

Hey, I was wondering if there is any other program other than zmodeler2 that I can model gta iv files in, I tried to make a model in blender but when i imported it into zmodeler it was all fucked up

If you're talking about attaching lightbars and such, no. Zmod is your only hope there. If you're talking about MAKING your own parts then you can try 3DS Max.

Yup Spike is correct, you can't use anything other than Zmodeler to export GTA IV format (WFT) cars. You have to use zmod to place and set everything up on the car but like Spike also said, you can use 3DS Max to make your own parts from scratch. Zmodeler is also capable of this but 3DS is a way better program when it comes to trying to scratch make things. It usually goes, 3DS Max which you export as a OBJ > import the OBJ into Zmod > setup materials and texture the part and either export it as a WFT for unlocked release or apply it to a vehicle

okay, so when I exported the bar from blender as a .3ds and tried to put it in zmod it like put everything directly center in zmod, meaning it didnt keep its orientation from blender, will 3DS Max do that same?
