[HELP] Will LCPDFR/GTA IV run on i3..... [HELP]

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I really want to play LCPDFR/GTA IV but I just need to see if my PC has the right requirements

I have:

Intel Core i3 Processor   2.53 GHz

3.00GB RAM

64-bit

Graphics Card:____?

I would appreciate if you would reply to help me see if it will run fine on LCPDFR/GTA IV

Many thanks,

Type "Dxdiag" (without the quotations) into the windows search bar, click on "Display 1" and tell us what GPU (Graphics Card) you have. Your processor is okay, but it's certainly not the best. RAM is a little low too but should be fine.

That means I just made the recommended settings?

However, when you have custom cars/mods in the game they will lag it up more so it will be slightly laggy. However, I can just play on a small resolution screen, should help?

Yes or no?

I doubt you will be able to play GTA:IV without mods (so forget the mods for now).

Your laptop does not have an external graphics card (GPU) (nVidia/ATi), it's using Intel's card (your CPU), & considering that your CPU is just a i3, I highly doubt it will be able to keep up with the logical AND graphical load.

I would like to ask you if you already bought GTA:IV, or are just inquiring if it can run first before deciding to buy it?

If you already have it bought, I would suggest installing it & trying it yourself (although don't expect any kind of medium settings, expect to be running at about 800x600, & all low settings at best, according to my predictions).

Also, don't even dream of playing MultiPlayer, no way.

I have a laptop containing a i7-2630QM (2GHz, Turbo to 2.8GHz), 6 GB RAM, & a nVidia GT 540M (an external graphics card)  (in short, a MUCH more powerful laptop than yours),   & I can barely play Multiplayer at very low settings (800x600 resolution, & all low settings), & if there's more that 13 people in the game, I'll start lagging out.
On SinglePlayer, I can play 1680x1024, at High Textures, Reflections & Shadows, without mods, & 1280x768 with all low (except 25 View & Detail Distance, & 30 Traffic) on my LCPD:FR 1.0 version.

tldr; I highly doubt you can play GTA:IV even on full low settings. If by some mircale the game runs, don't expect to be playing MultiPlayer, only SinglePlayer.

And that is a completely different game in the terms of graphics. It's great that you can play that game, but that doesn't mean you can run a much more resource-heavy game like GTA IV. Just because you can run Half Life 1, doesn't mean you can play Crysis 3.

Exactly this.

SAPD:FR is a whole different game. Just because you can run one, doesn't mean you will be able to run it's successor.

Anyway, like I said, if you've already bought the game, install it & try it, although I doubt it'll run smoothly, if it runs at all.

If not, then, well, save your bucks to get a good gaming PC (not a laptop, but a PC).

Waoh really, thanks. I can add some MB to my RAM off my 32G memory stick. That should help speed it up a bit :L

Thanks for replying :)
