I posted this before with no help.....I loaded GTA 4, it worked, i then downloaded the newest version.95, then tried to run GTA4 again....ran as admin. and it now does not work....ive uninstalled and reinstalled with the same result. I watched the video from Harper a,d it appears that all files are where they are supposed to be.

The texturing issue i have HAS to be because of the old age of my monitor....(60hz 5-6 yr old lcd flat screen that i did not replace when i replaced the tower a year ago)

If anyone has any suggestions, im all eyes, because this seem like an excellent game, but this is why i got away from PC gaming several years ago.

Make sure that your GTA IV folder is not read-only. To check this, right click on the Grand Theft Auto IV folder and click Properties. At the bottom of the screen is the read-only option. Make sure this is not checked.

I have a new question. By not starting, do you mean that when you click the icon to start the game, nothing happens? If so, then you probably need to download GFWL (Games For Windows Live). Just click here, and go to the bottom of the page. Near the middle will be something that says Download. Click it, and do as it tells you.
