Game constantly crashes

Featured Replies

I have tried everything I can think. I have the 1.0a hotfix, I tried installing it in multiple places, I ran a repair on LCPD:FR, I un-installed LCPD:FR and installed it again... I have run out of ideas on what to do.

The problem is that my game crashes before I finish loading. I got in-game when I un-installed LCPD:FR and installed it again, but I crashed while loading the police station. I think my only mods are TowService and Dashcam. No modded models for vehicles or people.

Also, tried to read the support guidelines but I "don't have permission for that." Please tell me if I did something wrong and I will try to fix it.

Go to solution

Try this: Go into the LCPDFR.ini and look under main.

Once you do that, then add PreloadAllModels=True

It should now look like this

[Main]
AllTextMode=False
AdditionalCopCarModels=
DepartmentName=Liberty City Police Department
AmbientScenariosMaximum=2
VehicleTrunkWeapons=Shotgun_Baretta;
AmbientScenariosMultiplier=250
SuspectTransporterModels=POLICE;POLICE2;PSTOCKADE;
DepartmentShortName=LCPD
FirstStart=False
PreloadAllModels=True

I'll do this and take pictures of my directory to see if anything was installed in the wrong place.

Post your LCPDFR log and advancedhook log

Hello,

please download and install version 1.0a.

LMS

I installed and re-installed it 3 times. Did I put it in the wrong place or something?

  • Management Team

At least your AdvancedHook.log clearly indicates you're using 1.0 and not the updated 1.0a. Please ensure you replaced the necessary files that came with the update.

Please do not PM me unless really necessary (knowing you helps). If you think you need my attention in a topic, tag me.

Okay, I'll reinstall it a fourth time. I'd like to say however that this problem didn't happen until after I installed the hotfix the first time.

So it does crash before even getting in-game? Barely and LCPDFR issue then. Your game installation might be corrupted.

Okay, I'll completely re-install my game. Talk to you in a couple days. =P
