Neighbors house caught fire

Featured Replies

I was sitting on the computer (like always) and I looked out the window and noticed that it was really foggy, I then saw tons of smoke and flames coming from the house, it's really windy and a bit snowy where I live so I am guessing that the fire will spread quickly  And the fire department just arrived.

Why do we need to have these threads all the time? Why is this website turning into Twitter or Facebook, were if something you think is exciting or important it has to be told to everyone?

People's houses burn down ever day. Here's a perfect fucking example for you, KFS Guards Burn Down Homes In Embobut Forest. Do you want to know why there wasn't a thread about this? Because nobody in the community feels it's even relevant to the website. In that event that I linked, hundreds of houses were being burned down against the residents will. Here's a quote from the article, "Some vowed not to move out of the forest. Luka Raton said he has not been compensated yet his houses and property have been razed down by the KFS. He said he has lived in the forest since 1961 and he has nowhere to go. "Even if they burn our houses we will come back since we are only hiding when the guards came only to emerge after they left," Raton said"

Luka Raton's house was burnt down by a government agency and yet he had no say in it and now he's homeless.

I'm getting off track but my point is that this is nowhere near important compared to the shit that happens worldwide. If you would like to tell everyone on the internet about how some house next to you burnt down, go make a Twitter, Facebook, or even a Myspace account and post there.

Have to partially agree with you, some time ago I saw a thread about some guy on the YouTube who made bad comments to videos, and was like 'Who the hell ever needs to post that here?..' But anyway, this section of forum is for random discussions, and, after all, house fire is an emergency, which in turn is connected with fire dept's and PD work, which, again, this community is about.

How would this be somehow connected to emergency services? I would've not said a single thing had this thread been about, "Hey this house burned down near me and I got a lot of cool pictures of the fire and police department vehicles that responded".

But no. This thread was created with the intent to inform of a fire that occurred near him, not to speak of the FD's hard work on taking care of the emergency. That's why I don't this as a relevant and, even if it's in the random section, it doesn't need to be talked about. As said above, houses burn down on a daily bases and if you were to compare this simple thing to the kind of stuff that happened in Kenya, it's almost nothing significant.

You are not one to decide what is to be talked about and what isn't. Just ignore the thread if you don't want to read it.

You should expect random stuff here because thats exactly what this section is for.

"An off-topic forum for all forms of conversation. "this forum is wide-ranging and random in nature"

Hope everyone are okay there, unfortunately that fire looks very bad, regarding saving the house.

Is that a problem gets solved? You just ignore it and pretend it goes away? The random section is not an excuse to post bullshit. Like I've already stated, this is the kind insignificant thing you'd come across while browsing Facebook or Twitter, not a policing forum.

I'm sick of the fact that these kind of threads are still being prevalent. Want examples?

>Here & >here.

Why is it when you visit the random section, you don't find questions about police vehicles or policining tactics, rather instead you come across these threads?

In case anyone wants a another picture of it

I'm going to call bullshit on this now. That picture you posted, OP, is over seven years old. Don't believe me? Here's the news article with, you guessed it, The exact same picture:

Also, here' the website it came from, hit Ctrl+F and search for "MUSSEY AVE HOUSE FIRE".

Why are you trying to boot your post count by giving false stories? By all means, prove me wrong by providing a current news article from your town or city's website showing me that this house fire actually happened recently.

Wow i didn't even think about him lying. Thanks for letting us know.

I call bullshit as well. For different reasons than Jewish_Banana, but his reasons are very valid as well.

*If* you took this from inside your house as a fire was going down right outside, your window would be black with soot from the fire, and you'd hence be able to see the dark tint in the picture. Also, assuming you live in a country where there is a legitimate fire service, they would have evacuated you so far out of your house that the chances of snapping these pictures are damn near impossible.

The greatest flaw with this; in that second picture there, it's clearly a stand alone house with non closely neighboring houses… So, yeah…

PS: There is also no snow on the ground. :')

I'm currently studying for my fire science major, and lemme' tell you, for a lie, this is poorly constructed and has too many flaws to even be comprehendible from a scientific standpoint.

On the other note: Yeah we don't want to hear about your fucking cat that just meowed back at you or some "neighbors" house that is burning down which is complete bull shit. God it looks like a bunch of kids are taking over this sight (no offense) If I want to see someones life on the internet specially a bull shit life I will just go on facebook or twitter.

Now it would be different if you made a thread called: "Have you ever seen a house burn down?"

Because that gives people a chance to give a shit not this crap with "OMG my fake neighbors house burned down and i'm going to post a picture of a fire that happened 7 years ago"

Nothing more can come of this topic, therefore I think it's about time to close it. Also, tone down the language next time, there was no need to call him a "cunt".
