Hey!

 

So, I've been playing Emergency 4 for a while with the LA mod. So, I decided to get some other mods to play around with since I got bored of the LA mod. I got the NYC mod and it worked fine, then I got the London mod. Now, here's where the problem came. I could start up the London mod for the first time and it worked, however all the vehicles looked like the default vehicles but I had the London map, minimap etc.

When I installed the London mod with the Emergency 4 mod installer it said that the file was corrupt or something. However, stupid as I am, I still got it for the Emergency 4.

Now when I try to start the game, it starts up with the black screen, goes into full screen (still all black like it usually does when you start it up) and then it just shuts down. As if I pressed the "close down tab buttom" on firefox, explorer, chrome (whatever), however not the "X" buttom but the "close down thing" which just looks like a flat thing...

Haha, I'm so sorry for being so bad at explaining I just want my Emergency 4 to work again.

Try to delete your em4.cfg file, and if that doesn't work, reinstall.

Didn't work. I'll have to reinstall the game I guess? Thanks for the suggestion/tip though :)

 

Edit: I made the game repair itself but it still doesn't work.

 

Edit #2 : I've re-installed the game and I still run into the same issue. Please help :(

You run into this in the vanilla Em4 or modded Em4?

It happens when I try to run both vanilla and modded versions.

Delete the game, then delete all left traces by the installer and also delete registry entries and maybe reinstall DirectX, graphics card driver!

I have the same problem. It will load as if to display the intro screen but it just displays the black screen for a few seconds then crashes to desktop. I've reinstalled drivers, uninstalled graphics cards, uninstalled the game entirely, deleted em4.cfg and i've even gone into the files to change the resolution. No avail.

HELP!
