The taser doesn't work in my LCPDFR. Like, at all. It doesn't appear on my skins (I'm using the default LCPD skins from the game), nor does T the T key do anything but zoom my minimap out. Its making it quite difficult to chase suspects fleeing on foot that tend to resist.

When you installed LCPDFR, did you use the manual or automatic installer? 

I used the automatic installer.

Could you try using the manual installer instead? 

It didn't make a difference. I used Manual for my TLAD install and it does not work there either.

Legal copy of the game? Running the game as administrator? Latest patch? What other mods are you using? What operating system are you using (Windows XP is NOT supported)? Make sure that LCPDFR 0.95 is removed (http://www.lcpdfr.com/page/tutorials/index.action/_/script-data-file-modification-tutorials/how-to-uninstall-lcpdfr-r19).

Yes, legal. Yes, running as admin. Yes, patch. ELS, Trainer (both up to date). Win 8 64 bit, running compatability mode. 0.95 was removed prior to 1.0 being installed, everything was removed successfully.

 

All listed are installed and have not caused me issues. I installed them prior to 1.0 but I just rechecked and I have them.

And when pressing "t", do you scroll through your weapons to find it? 

After pressing (double pressing for the first time sometimes), I tend to scroll to find it in case it has not appeared.

After doing some investigating aswell, I came across this thread:

 

Following the tutorial here, I finally was able to use the tazer ingame and it appears to be working properly. I have not tested to see if it gives me the memory crash on game exit, but even if it does crop up, if it doesn't cause an issue I can press a button.

 

So I think we got it resolved. Thank you for sharing proper resources to resolve the issue.

Clearly false, there is no "proper" way to push the button and just because yours works doesn't mean it'll work for everyone else. Don't be arrogant in a support forum.

Yup mine stopped working after the update too... yay...

I can almost 100% guarantee it's not the updates fault, but other mods that are colliding sadly.

well for the record my taser is still working. but for those who are having no luck fixing theirs there is an alternative. if you use the K9 you can have him attack people who run from you. they drop their weapon and put their hands up while your dog stands next to them. its by FAR the fastest way to stop a runner. Push the period button while ya aim on the perp and off he goes :D i actually have only used my taser like 3 times since i started playing.

Or, you can just manually install the taser using these instructions:
