ELS is crashing LCPDFR

Recommended Posts

Hey I am running my LCPDFR without any problems. I'm  running the game vanilla with no other scripts or mods other than LCPDFR 1.0... My question is has someone on here figure out why ELS and ELS cars will not work on my LCPDFR ( ELS works but crashes my game within the first 5mins)? I understand this new version needs a lot of work and fixing up to do but just hate to run everything vanilla when I can run basically whatever I want on .95 version.  Just seeing if there been a fix with ELS with the LCPDFR 1.0?

ELS is working fine with LCPDFR 1.0 for a ton of users. I'm not sure what you mean with a fix.

Well I can play LCPDFR for about 1.5-3 hrs with everything vanilla but once I add ELS to my script then I can only get about 5mins of playing time? So obviously ELS isn't working correctly on my LCPDFR 1.0 and really don't know what ELS is doing to cause my crashes? Once I take ELS out of my script then I'm back at playing just fine? I just thought maybe more people than not were having the same problem as me but I guessed not.

What are the specs of your system? [e.g. processor and speed, RAM and speed, hard drive and speed, graphics card]

I5 2500k 3.70 GHz

RAM: 16 GB

OP: Win7 64bit

Hard drive: 700GB hybrid(part SSD)

GPU: HD Radeon 6850 1 GB memory

I'll try re-downloading the ELS again and replace the files. Maybe something didn't download right for whatever reason. Other than that I really don't know what else to do? BTW, Thanks for replying

No problem, and you have a system that shouldn't break a sweat performance-wise.  Something is likely misconfigured somewhere; I have the same processor, half of the ram, and a GTX 550Ti and I run LCPDFR 1.0 and ELS together perfectly fine.

And actually It always cuts out on me when I hit the "siren" button.... I can keep my lights on for the most part without any problem.... From my controller- I did changed my siren button to LeftThumb and put the quick action menu to None. That's the only change I've made with the configuration keys. I wouldn't see why that would be a problem?

I don't see that being a problem either.  On my keyboard, G is set as the siren key, and Numpad 3 cycles through tones; if altered keys were an issue then I assume that I'd have crashing issues as well.

Have you tried it without a controller to see if that changes anything?

Hum I've just notice another problem with my keys... Hopefully It's OK to keep it on this thread?

My problem in my LCPDFR.ini is that it has siren as "DIVIDE"... I even changed it to "G" but my siren doesn't work with "" or the "G" key. It only works with "H"?? I looked and I don't even have "H" set as anything? That's weird?

The only time my siren works with my controller(LeftThumb) is when I'm playing MP. Siren with LeftThumb will not work in SP?

Again thanks guys for responding

The listing for the divide key is not your siren; rather it is a lighting mode key for non-ELS vehicles.  The actual siren key can be altered in the ELS.ini and does not have anything to do with LCPDFR.

Yeah It took my a second to figure that out..... I went ahead and may another thread since now when I hit my siren key it crashes my game....
