Hello community!

 

When I install LCPD:FR 1.0 automatically on a clean and vanilla installation of EFLC on steam, I come across the "Grand Theft Auto Has stopped working" error. This error appears at the warning screens with the white texts when the game starts up. I am running the game on steam, windows 7 home premium 64-bit. I have made sure that every necessity is accounted for. LCPDFR.log is not inside my root folder unfortunately. I have attached my advancedhookinit.log to the post. 

 

I will be very happy if anybody can help!

 

 

Legal copy of the game? Running the game as administrator? Latest patch? What other mods are you using? What operating system are you using (Windows XP is NOT supported)? Make sure that LCPDFR 0.95 is removed (http://www.lcpdfr.com/page/tutorials/index.action/_/script-data-file-modification-tutorials/how-to-uninstall-lcpdfr-r19).

Running the game as administrator: Go to the GTA IV folder, right click on GTAIV.exe, Properties, Compatibility and select 'Run this program as administrator', do the same exact thing to the LaunchGTAIV.exe.

 

Best thing to do is install the Taser manually here.

If it says the file is read only when you try to edit it, go to the parent folder (common), and right click on its properties.  Then uncheck the box that says readonly, and click OK when it says to apply to all files and subfolders.

I have a legal copy of the game (Steam) and steam automatically patches it to 1.1.2.0. I will try and Install the taser manually.

I tried to add the lines to the data files, and the game makes it past the warning screens. However, the game crashes when it is at the final loading stage (Loading Game: I Luv LC). I have tried to run as administrator and set the files to read-only. Any help?

Maybe your savegames are corrupted, could you try deleting them?
