Featured Replies

yes I'm giving a go at scratch modeling

the video's / tutorial's say to start with create -surface - flat but the only option's I have are

create surface  grid loft or revolved

3ds max is definitely the best software to use. Once you learn how to take advantage of all the different functions, you can make really good models. Personally, I use blender for making simple things, but that's only because I already knew how to use blender and I don't know 3ds max that well.

In blender I believe you can just drag in the blueprints right from blender's file browser into the viewport (you have to have the file browser on thumbnail view).
