GTA IV Traffic Flow NEED HELP

Featured Replies

Well, it's normal to have taxis and police cars all over the cities. So I download the Traffic Flow V5 R2.

After that, it says I need something to load the Traffic Flow, the dsound.dll. DONE

I run the game and it works. No taxis or police anywhere, I see many different vehicles around the city. Then I quit GTA IV and do my stuff in the internet. After my internet stuffs, I play GTA IV with no error and NORMAL TRAFFIC FLOW, no all taxis. Everything's fine.

It's night, I off my comp and sleep. The next day I didn't touch any of my GTA 4 files, I start my game and when I go to the street there are NO traffic / cars AT ALL.

It's really weird cause it works on the previous day but in the morning I play my gta there are totally NO CARS. I went to C:Program Files (x86)Rockstar GamesGrand Theft Auto IVpcmodelscdimages check the vehicles.img, IT'S GONE!!

Any thing I could do?

I re install my gta then install 2 police cars, els v7, and LCPD FR. And now I see taxis and polices. I don't want to download traffic flow cause it might corrupt my gta again.

(And I DID run as Administrator)

Thank You

First off, I don't think the game can launch with the vehicles.img missing. Sounds to me you did do something to your GTA IV folder. Are you 100% positive you didn't do anything? TrafficFlow does not corrupt your installation, I have never heard of that or this issue before.

Make sure you have the TRAFFIC FLOW V5 installed Correctly and then another option would be to go to your Graphics in GAME and put the Traffic Dentisy to 40-45 to make more traffic flowing.

That would also be a good thing to check, although the OP said trafficflow did work for him once before. The traffic density setting can't actually disable car spawn altogether, but if you want more cars on the road, you can increase the number.

I would consider Re-Installing your GTA4 Game. that way you'll have vehicles.img again.

it may sound silly but did you Drag and Drop the files in the correct places for Traffic Flow v5?

As I pointed out, the OP said it did work before the reboot, so it should not matter. Quote below... :

When you get back, OP, can you post a screenshot of your GTA IV folder + scripts folder?

He should try doing that, just incase it's missing the .Img

Well, since you already reinstalled.

How about Copy & Paste your vehicles.img to a seperate folder somewhere else ( Desktop or maybe in Docs ) & then install TrafficFlow again & try it for a few days.

Also, just a rough thought, I notice you have quite some cleaners, are you sure none of them removed vehicles.img? Thinking it's slowing down your PC or has a virus or something?

If my post made you laugh (or giggle) in any way, smash that blue grey "Like this" button & like it
