if you mean the big taxi sign on top of the taxis

open common/data/visualsettings.dat and search for other emmisve lights and change

car.extralight.emissive.on    10
car.extralight.emissive.off    0.05

But then if he plans on using ELS again, the lights will look like crap

Well, i might use ELS again, so i'll make a backup!

EDIT: But if i make changes to VisiualSettings.dat, are police lights going to be much darker?

they shouldn't be. its because of the visualsettings.dat file used in the enb configs. almost every version you find on this site uses the same visualsettings.dat I tried a ton of them and always got that blinding taxi sign until I figured out that the dat file is identicle

Whaaaaaat? But if it's the visualsetting.dat, why didn't have this problem before?

PS. 150th post! YAYY!

what is the value of car.defaultlight.emissive.on in your file? I downloaded a low spec enb and game4videos enb and they both were using 600 which is way beyond the valid range of the game. I changed it to 2 and it was normal like it should be, police and other lights shouldn't change because for the most part everyone uses near default settings for those.

They look identical because they all use the same default file, the one from default GTA, I change most things in it with my ENB's.
