This is pretty old news. May I ask why do you wish they would have caught the guy and tortured him? That's pretty fucked up and wouldn't be allowed in a county jail or prison.   To be honest, I don'

  • I have a huge issue with what you posted. Torture isn't just "a little extreme", ineseri. It is so offensively off the entire spectrum of conduct that should even be considered in a remotely civilized

  • Thats the difference between him and us. We are not like him. Even if the authorities would have caught him i wouldn't want him to be tortured. If we act like him what difference will it make?  I would

what I hate the most is politicians jumping in and using these tragedies as an excuse to take away our rights like the illegal patriot act and gun control etc etc oh and torture by any means is NOT ok if you support torture you need to seek help

A lot of people are complaining about the release of those tapes. I listened to them and in my opinion there is nothing in there thats violent or graphic in nature. I mean yea the incident is horrible and violent itself but the calls are calm. Plus people aren't being forced to listen to them. I'm not taking one side or the other and maybe I'd have a different opinion if my family was affected by the incident.

Gives me chills. Oh my god. I just don't know what to say

SCNG FTW!!

i don't like torture the only time i think the only time torture should be applied is when some moron kills kids. You are stupid if you think this guy should not have been tortured. Have a great day :D

Then I guess we are all pretty stupid... I don't even think the guys in Gitmo should be tortured, let alone a murderer

I think he insulted all of us

To be honest, I don't know why everyone should really care at this point. One of my biggest pet peeves about the USA is the fact that most people here will try and milk a tragic event, like this, as long as they can and if you say something against it then your the terrible a-hole. The biggest one being the September 11th attacks, which happened a little over 12 years ago, and others like the Sandy Hook shooting, ect. I'm not saying I support these acts against society but there needs to be a limit at which people can stop and say, "Hey, we've been trying to get everyone to remember and care about this event that happened years ago. We should just stop because at this point more and more people are forgetting about it and if we keep bringing it up then less and less people will want to care about it".

I agree with you that we should stop milking the Sandy Hook, but not about 9/11. The Sandy Hook shooting amounted to 28 deaths. In no way is 28 deaths a minor event, but compare that with the 3,000 people that died on September 11th, 2001. The attacks on 9/11 spawned two wars, and 9/11 is going to be remembered as the Pearl Harbor of the War on Terror. The events of September 11th hold huge historical significance, while the historical significance of the Sandy Hook shooting is negligible. The impact of Sandy Hook was largely emotional and so was 9/11, albeit on a larger scale. The difference though is that while emotions fade over time, 9/11 greatly affected the following decade (and onward), and we are still feeling the repercussions 12 years later. Eventually 9/11 will lose its emotional value, but like the Alamo, people will remember it because of its historical significance.
