Dude what world do you guys live in? I just visited a recruiter yesterday the recruiter told me himself that as soon as I get off of paper(probation) They could give me a waiver just for the military. Also To the guy that said the governors don't give pardons read this article:http://www.crainsnewyork.com/article/20091229/FREE/912299992

Governor Patterson grants army veteran for gun conviction. He is now a member of the NYPD. Its gives me so much hope. My felon is unlawful assault. A guy was playing with a bb gun I took it from him put it in safety the BB gun must have malfunctioned because when I put it in safety the trigger didn't lock it exploded and hit the kid he was standing in point blank direction. I had my face toward the pistol. Poor judgement yes it was on my behalf but unlawful assault heck no.

Ok, last time I'm going to tell you this... The odds of you getting the same future are small. Now please just understand that recruiters lie to you all the time just to recruit people.

Just because you enlist in the Army doesn't mean that you will "survive" basic training. It's harder than you think. The govenour will not "give you a pardon" .

It's good that you have your hopes up but DO NOT EXPECT ANYTHING!!!

Also, Army is one thing, police/sheriff is another.

I wish you good luck and that you reget your felon everyday of your life.

Not a good idea to wear it in public, I could see you getting in very big trouble for that. Plus you'll have a hard time finding any modern badges for sale, there are some older ones floating around though. I've looked before just out of curiosity and its rare chance or no chance at all you'll find a real badge. Let alone trying to find one from each state. Its not illegal to collect them though, nothing wrong with that. Its much easier to find badge patches, I've got a few of those stuck on my wall. They are usually only $4-$10 depending on the patch. Here is a good site, Federal Badges: http://www.fredspatchcorner.com/page29.html you can also sort by state and find state specific ones here http://www.fredspatchcorner.com/page21.html There are more scattered throughout that site so have a look around. There was another site that had a ton of good ones on it but its been shut down for quite some time now

And thats where my idea of bull shitting comes into play. You cannot get onto probation for unlawful assault... nice try troll.

before you go around lying to everyone about your conviction and you being arrested make sure you read up on what you can and can't be put on probation for. That type of assault is a misdemanor and you can't go on probation for a misdemeanor.

Next time you try to bull shit people on a website make sure there isn't someone on the website like me who the crimnial justice system inside and out.. I read state statue books for fun, I research the criminal justice system for fun..

Lets wrap this up with saying the truth.

You're never going to become a police officer and/or serve in the Army.

Honour is a big thing in both the Armed Forces and the police/sheriff. In other words, don't lie...

Edit: And I'm happy to know that you will never have a badge you've earned.

Dude I swear to you I took a plea bargain the first charge was malicious wounding, the prosecuting attorney drop the charge down to unlawful assault and I received 5 yrs supervised probation.

No you didn't. For malicious wounding you would be needed to shoot the guy over and over again with that BB gun to within a inch of his life. Want the definition of malicious wounding well here it is.

"the act of shooting, stabbing, cutting, wounding, or causing bodily injury with the intention to maim, injure, disfigure, disable, or kill."

You can't get malicious wounding by accident, unless you kept accidentally shooting the guy over and over with that BB gun. Unless you shot the kid in the eye and caused him to lose his eye sight then yes you would be charged with that, but never in a million years would it ever be dropped down to unlawful assault.

I know what it means. The pistols was an automatic it burs ted out 2 shots. As far as with an inch of his life, man went to the doctor they put some ointment on his back and he was out playing basketball right after that. And the doctor said it was minor. I was the only black guy in the whole town so I know some racism came to play. I am going to get me a lawyer and I am going to fight this case again, and again, and again. ''Only real criminals quit, because they know they are rightfully criminals".

Just shut up... You know you have been caught bull shitting, and your just trying to cover it up. Plus if something like that happened in a small town it would almost always be reported to the news. If that happened in Milwaukee one of the worst cities in America it would still make the news.

And I am free no jail just 5 years probation. I am Kyre Richardson

The media messed that up I only did probation

If in fact you are telling the truth then I would take it to court and fight it because those charges don't really follow the crime that was committed then. But either way untill you get those charges dropped you won't get into the Military or Police.

Last question how old are you?

(By the way I was going off of New York laws because well one would think you lived in new York)

Even though the OP names himself, I am not going to provide any links to profiles but there are some on the web.

One of those profiles, he states he was born in 1989 and his profile pic does not look like a kid.

He has some of the same statements towards the Yankees as he does here on lcpdfr about them. Even publicly asks if blank guns are illegal for felons.

Anyways, based off being born in 1989, he would be approximately 24 years old. Thew news article original date is February 9, 2012, so that would place in the age bracket of 22-23 when this occurred.

In my opinion, we should stop and let this lie. This individual is of age, knows fully well what he did and according to his post, will continue to do everything in his power to have effect on or in law enforcement until he dies.

Based off all that he is going to continue this trend, regardless of what we say.

*EDIT* for words, I used the wrong ones.

Yes sir I am 24 yrs old born July 16th 1989. Its been 3yrs since the crime occurred. I am now residing in Richmond VA still on supervised probation. I will not let this crime stick. I know for a fact that I didn't shoot that poor child on purpose. I carried that child to his mother. I did not run I cooperated with the police, If I felt I had of done something wrong I would not had of done those things I would have tried to flea the scene.
