Transparent models

Featured Replies

Dear community,

since recently I'm having the problem that all my models such as pedestrians, cars and even walls appear to be transparent. (It's not the common texture loading-you pc is too slow problem) All the textures are there. I can for example see tiremarks and even blood through every model.

Any help?

Thank you!

You should post a screenshot, the way you are explaining it is a little vague(it may also be cause it is very early morning here and I am tired).

That usually involves an ENB... but if you don't have it...

Can you try applying the texture again and installing the model again?

This is not the first and only model I'm having this problem with. I've had a few London Metro Police mods installed before and had the same issue.

Now this is an interesting case you've got here. I've never heard of anybody getting something like this when they're not running a graphics mod. Considering you said that pretty much everything is transparent, I think something may have been corrupted during the install of GTA IV. Have you had this issue ever since you installed IV or did it suddenly appear one day after installing a mod or something?

It ran fine for a few months. After installing a new mod (I suppose it was some car mod, but I don't remember which one) the problem appeared. But I think I'll just re-install GTA IV.

EDIT: PROBLEM SOLVED! Fortunately I backed up my whole GTA installation. So I replaced the shaders and the textures folder (The one in the pc folder) and it works fine again. Something must have got corrupted by adding some mod. Thank you for every answer I got here!
