Downgrading My Game From 1.07 To 1.04

Featured Replies

Hey!,

Could anyone please write the steps out of how to downgrade my game from Patch 1.07 DOWN to 1.04, and simply so I can understand them?

I have followed these steps (( http://www.gtagaming.com/forums/showthread.php?t=128300 ))  but just missing something (I have the Patch and the RSG tool downloaded already)

Thank You so much.

InnermostZero.

You have to uninstall your GTA IV, then you re-install it. This time you run the 1.0.4.0 patch executable (once finished installing) to, believe it or not, patch the game to 1.0.4.0. Once you've done that, you should be good to go. If you don't want to uninstall your current GTA IV, create a copy - a backup - and name it something different. Then uninstall and do the above.

Ye I have multiple directories(games) so I'm good in that regard but I think there's something I'm not sure that you have to do in regards to changing the name of my games folder ?

I want to bring the ''GTAIV'' folder to the 1.0.4 patch.

I think it has to be a certain name at certain times of the drowngrade?

Anyone Ideas...Really stuck?

To be quite honest with you, I don't think you can downgrade. Just uninstall and get the desired patch you want.

I found this guide (http://www.gtagaming.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2198415), but it's for the steam version though.

Really? I have this included in my orignal post. Ha

I have ''reinstalled'' - I have made another directory (which acts like a raw game) and is still not working?

It's impossible to downgrade without reinstalling the game once you've applied a patch.

I have ''re-installed'' , I have made a new directory which acts as a new game for me ?

Haha sorry, I was just googling on it and linked the first best post. Plus side, now you have it twice.
