Hello,

I had to disable ELS for the AI, because 99% of emergency vehicles respawn if their warning lights are turned on. (on the map, you can see that) This is always during chases on me or when I'm at LCPD: FR call backup. Also, the game randomly crashes, but since I've turned off ELS for the AI, which is not more so.

Its definitely ELS. Is this a general bug?? This is quite unfortunate because the AI turns so only the siren. And this is... stupid. :sad:

I also have Traffic Load installed, but i also try this without any other mods. :unsure:

I also have this bug, it is most likely traffic loader. I have tried to get into a chase and all the cop cars that are far away will despawn making the chase impossible for them. If you can get rid of traffic loader and try again, if that doesn't work it will probably what Ineseri said.

My system:

Intel Quad Core 2,66 GHZ

Geforce GTX 650 - 2 GB GDDR5

4 GB RAM

Windows 7 Home Premium

 

GTA IV works without any laggs on high settings, But the shadow detail is on medium, view distance on 75, the detailed view on 70 and vehicle density is on 60.

and I have also tried without the traffic loader. The bug remains.

Now I have created a commandline.txt file and put the above lines in that. But.. the bug remains. No change. :unsure:

I actually just noticed when running ELS, they get unloaded seemingly random. I'm out of more advice I'm afraid... :/ You could try adding another ELS vehicle instead.

Now i have tried some another ELS (for example: a LCPD-Ford Crown) vehicles, and the bug remains. The bug is not random, the bug is always. i dont have seen any vehicle with active ELS driven from any NPC, because the vehicles spawn and than respawn out of my view distance.

 

and the LAPD vehicle pack, which i want to use, is designed for ELS7. and i use ELS7.

The vehicle pack don't have a fault.

I still think it is something to do with your computer specs TBH. Try finding models which do not have such a high polygon level. Does any other user have a suggestion?

If you have any other modded cars installed besides police cars, I would replace those with the original cars to cut down on memory usage. Also, try turning down the traffic density, render distance, and detail distance.

 

EDIT: Disable traffic loader too, you may not see a difference, but combined with what I suggested, it might help.

I dont have other Cars installed- only the Police cars and a firetruck and a ambulance. Not more.
Render and detail distance are reduced enough. when i disable the traffic loader, the bug remains. i have tried this.
 
i dont know why i am  the once who have the problem so excessive.. my graphic settings are not very high (the graphic settings are high) and i don't use any Graphic-Mod like HD-Mods or ENB's.
 
I have tried to only use 2 modded Cars (two police vehicles with ELS) and the bug remains. my PC is not the fault..

I used to have the same issue.

 

Inside ELS.ini, there is a setting called "Els_Range_Ai". This makes any ELS enabled vehicle be deleted after the distance set in meters. Raise it to a level your PC can support (mine is at 600) and you should no longer have issues with despawning backup

Sticks and stones may break bones, but 5.56 fragments on impact.
