I wonder how much of this money that Rockstar actually receives in the end.

I'm sure they get a pretty big cut. Take-Two doesn't strike me as a company that would soak up all the money.

And they spent something like 230-245 mil making the game, so they definitely made there money back and some :P, well if this isn't a sign that they need to continue the gta series and make the game with this amount of options I'm not sure what else to tell them. I haven't enjoyed a game this much in along time, and buying the collectors edition was well worth it.

On average, a median yield spread for any large company is about 15%-18%, net profits (after everything is paid, including taxes).

As for Rockstar, off the rip they had to lay down about $250-$300M, and that's the gross, not net.

So, bottom line is the company probably netted around $127M so far and I bet their stock prices are up huge (which is where the real money is made- not in the product itself, but expectations in the markets that bring new investors to the table)., as well as the higher dividends paid to shareholders.

They made a test in Germany. Two 16 years old boys asked adults on the street to get them a copy of GTA V.

80% did so, everybody knows it's the best game ever, they didn't even have to name the game most times, the adults instantly knew which game they wanted
