Little conversation with dispatch

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

its just a idea that came up while pulling over a car, that idea is;  When you pull over a car you begin a conversation like;  Dispatch pulling over a (car model) license plate is (license plate).

Dispatch; copy that do you need assistence?

You; no/yes send me a unit to assist me with this traffic control

Dispatch; Sending a unit to your location dont be a hero wait for the backup

When you go to a crime scene or emergency call;

Dispatch; do you need assistence?

You; no/yes send me some backup

Dispatch copy that sending units to the crime scene/emergency call location

and stuff like that? how do u like it guys?

Not possible, unless you prefer text-only responses then it cannot be done as it'd require re-doing the entire voiceover work for the game.

Sounds interesting and probably quite possible, though I'm not sure it'd be a high priority for the devs. Perhaps it might make for a good project when the modding API comes out.

For the script to 'know' when you're responding to an LCPDFR callout or doing an LCPDFR pullover it'd have to communicate with LCPDFR, which can't happen until the API is released (ETA unknown). For a script like what you want, you'll have to wait until then for anyone to do it.

Theoretically someone could probably make a script now where you manually contact dispatch to do these kind of things (like pressing alt-f1 when you're at a traffic stop and alt-f2 when you're at any other callout to trigger the appropriate dispatch conversation), but I'm not skilled in that area.

No thank you. Being that sometimes, I like to use my actual agency's vehicles, and it would be impossible to replicate every agencies radio traffic and how they do things. For us it would be for example in Langley, BC:

Langley 1B13, 10-11.

Dispatch: 1B13 go ahead.

1B13: BC Marker (BCL) 364 FOX LIMA QUEBEC and I'll be 203 st north just south of 53 ave.

Dispatch: 10-4...

Dispatch: 1B13, That comes back 10-10, active on a 2010 Ford Edge, R.O is a *NAME HERE* out of Surrey.

See how that works? How annoying it would be to have this random dialogue popping up on my screen that isn't even realistic to the agency I'm playing as?

I like this idea just have it set as liberty city since its well liberty city and everywhere says lcpd and all that

So you're undermining the whole idea of creating actual vehicles/player models that pertain to real life agencies? Just because the mod says LCPD and the station do, doesn't mean we can't Roleplay other real agencies. I'd rather not have LCPD written everywhere, and LCPD to be avoided as much as possible with the mod.
