I have been trying to download this mod for months. I got so frustrated I actually broke my laptop. Of course between getting a new labtop, I lost the manual with the serial key so I had to download a crack to get around that feature. I have a feeling that is why I am having trouble with the lcpdfr mod. I am relatively new in this area of computers and gaming so please bare with me. If anyone can help me, please ask questions so I can help you identify my problem. This is the error message I am receiving

So you have been trying to download LCPDFR for months, broke your laptop and between getting a new laptop you lost the manual with a serial key but you couldn't ask to get your serial key sent again? I never bought a game on disc with box and manual so I don't know much about having a serial key in the manual but this looks like you want support for illegal copy of the game and G17 Media (LCPDFR) does not support the use of pirated games. Maybe i'm wrong?

So in other words, I should buy another copy... Can the steam version of GTA 4 use these mods? Thank you for the quick responses. 

You don't have to buy another copy, you can simply ask for serial key to be sent again from whoever you bought it from and, yes, GTA IV steam version can use these mods.
