ELS Mapping in Zmodeler

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Of the lightbars I have with Zmodeler, only one has an ELS Mapping file.

Is it possible to use this one ELS Mapping, for any other lightbars I add to my vehicle model?

Note: The one lightbar that had the ELS Mapping works fine in game.

But, I'm having trouble adding more then 1 lightbar in Zmodeler.

How can I add more then 1 lightbar?

Current lightbar: Federal Signal Vista

Want to add: Whelen Inner Edge TIR3

Enermax Ostrog GT Mid Tower - Intel Core i5 4690 @ 3.5 GHz

EVGA GeForce GTX 960 FTW 4GB Graphics Card - Asus VG245H 24" Console Gaming Monitor

2 TB HDD (OS/ Primary HDD) - 4 TB SSHD (Storage/ Secondary HDD)

You can use that ELS mapping as long as the light is the same type as the other bars your trying to map. For instance you couldn't use Whelen Justice ELS lights to map a Whelen Liberty, it wouldn't look right. To add more than one, simply import more stuff. You'll probably run into a texture issue since you can only have one emerglights texture unless you rename it or combine the needed parts of the texture in photoshop and then re-map the needed parts in zmodeler.

I'm currently working with two Federal Signal Vistas.

In Zmodeler there's two on the model.

1 on the front of the roof, and one on the back.

I export with no errors, and then open it up in OpenIV Model viewer.

In the model viewer there's only one lightbar, yet in Zmodeler there's 2

Are they both within the hierarchy of the car being exported? and are they above the windows in the hierarchy? they should go right under chassis_L2 or chassis_L1 depending on the car model being used. Make sure they are under and not within chassis_L1 or L2

I'm curious now, what type of vehicle needs two Vistas?

I'm just experimenting with the vehicles at the moment.

They are both under the Chassis, and they are at the bottom of the hierarchy at the moment.

I tried moving them, so they're under Chassis_L1 and Chassis_L2, saved it, exported it, viewed it in OpenIV Model Viewer, and still only one is visible

And maybe a prisoner transport vehicle? (o.O)
