EFLC Enb crash when walking outside?

Featured Replies

I've tried 3 ENBs for EFLC and all seem to cause my game to crash when I walk outside my door. I've checked already or previous posts but they do not seem to have answers.

It's a default game with no mods excluding the ENB...

Which ENBs did you tried?

Vucko v6

P1Ch3 V1

and my Friends. His works in his game, yet not in mine..

I know that Vucko v6 for 1.0.7.0 and EFLC is working, so 1.0.4.0 should do the same. I don't know about P1Ch3 v1 ENB but if your friends are using these ENBs without errors then only problem is that something went wrong with the game files or maybe savegame files.

What can I do about the save game files? Their genuine save games

I said maybe, i'm not sure that savegames are causing CTD but I can bet that something is wrong with the game files. You can do clean installation of the game, patch it, install whatever the game needs to function properly and make a backup of the whole game if you have enough HDD space.

Very much agree,  useful thing to do!  I suggest to have one around unless space is a concern.   Because let's say next month you find another awesome enb and you want to use that instead,  you won't have to reconfigure every single thing and with the default stuff already optimized,  less things to troubleshoot hopefully.

Yes it is

So it is simply the ENB..  i mean as soon as you remove it,  the opening crash goes away?

you have to check the enb ini sometimes the default settings will make it crash if it has forcenividiacard and forcenividiacaps on true...change it to false

Sadly it is on false :/

Yes, But it's multiple ENBs which is what I'm concerned about. I think i'll just clear out all my save games. Do you think that will do it?

EDIT! Sorry for double posting, forgot that I replied a few mins before

I really cant see savegames fudging up everything when you have an enb installed.  And being fine when the enb is gone.   I dont know enough about the enbs and what other options you can tinker with.

If worse comes to worse,  make sure to backup the saves and start everything fresh.

Not really difficult,  i find it annoying to move my savegames around and back and forth.  Cause GTA IV doesnt use the usual save locations like so many of my other games do.   I have forgotten and lost a save this way before.

I hope someone else may have some insight.   But definately make a backup of a working, new install if you haven't already.  So it is just a fresh install of GTA IV and only LCPDFR installed and working (throw in ELS7 if you are comfortable with the settings).   Comes in handy and you can easily "plug in" (pun intended) mods and scripts as you please for testing and reinstalling.

Yea. I use a default game as it is. I'll try out a reinstall. I remember having this issue previously (a year ago), but I forgot what caused it. :/
