Exclusive Preview Plant Firefighter Simulator 2014

Featured Replies

The next upcoming Title in the Firefighter Simulator Franchise, release date August 2013 in a Preview by yours truly.

Just a short glimpse at what seems to be a more balanced fire system, more aggressive. Also better Driving Physics, but see for yourself

First problem is the name.

I immediately think of a potted plant engulfed all by itself with like 3 engines, a ladder, and a squad on scene.

So if that is not the case, then maybe change the name from Plant to Wild or something rather

Meh, I'm sorry but the rest of these simulation games are just made too quick. I find them very hard to get into, if maybe they would spend more money and time on these simulators then maybe there would be more people buying them. I have tried half, if not more of the simulators out there that I believe is made by this company and I have been very disappointed.

Looks like a reskin of "Airport Firefighter Simulator"

These simulator games would be so much better if the developers took the time to put effort into them

The problem is, and that is also explained in the Interview I did with one of the Devs which is found here >>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqKDBl9ZIb0<<

they are not having the funds for their own game engine and the Unity Engine is not made for what they have it doing.

If you know anything about programming than you understand the limitations.

I thought the same thing, that they are just reskinning old games, but there is a lot more to it than meets the eye, Airport Sim for example, they simulate every single light on the Runway ( over 20.000 total ), and every light is procedural generated and not just a light map. If you take that into consideration it is a miracle that the game runs period.

And also, you can not blame the Devs for it, that the publishers are pushing games out faster than they should to milk the cow, so-to-speak. In the end it is preference and until I have something better, this will do becasue let's face it there are not many games for emergency services period. The potential group of customers is too little to make it feasible

Edit:

I agree the choice of name is rather strange, I actually mentioned that this morning to one of the Devs. we'll see if it changes, I doubt it tho
