New to GTA IV modding. I installed a couple new cars and ELV 6. When I get into the car and press J or any other related keys nothing happenes.

My config files reads this:

This is for the ELS. I installed the car with Spark IV. WHen I hit the siren key, you can hear sirens but just no lights. I also have a trainer installed and disabled keys.

Any suggestions?

Are you sure your car is ELS enabled? If the car is not ELS enabled, pressing the light keys won't turn them on. Also, do you have a trainer installed with your game? If so, disable it, as the keybindings that the trainer use can sometimes interfere with the ELS keybindings.

I've never had to press ALT+J, J has always worked fine for me. As others have said, check:

-The cars are ELS enabled

-You are pressing the correct key

Also, are you using simple native trainer? If you are, you will need to "disable keys" before any of the ELS buttons will work. Here's how:

1. Open trainer.ini in your GTA directory

2. Search the document (CTRL+F) for KeyBindingsDisabled

3. Change the value after KeyBindingsDisabled from 0 to 1

4. Save and exit
