The entire thing was misguided and utterly pointless. Nothing good will come out of it now, just get out. If the Taliban want to reject al-Qaeda, that's great, but they will have a hard time doing so with al-Qaeda being supplied weapons by the U.S. 

I mean if they can even make it a little bit better then let it happen. But I don't expect these things to last....

I won't hold my breath though. Its not like its happening for the first time.

US Official: Well, thanks Abdul, see you at the next meeting in 2 months time."
