Zmodeler to Open IV Models Problem

Featured Replies

Hi there!

This is AP_459 and I need some help regarding errors that I've been experiencing.

Several days ago I've managed to edited several models by adding Lightbars (V-shaped ones) from the original models.

After Zmodeler Exported and I edited Vehicles.img in openIV, the error came.

The error was that a wheel (the one usually on the front-left at any other models) was one the middle.

Thus, ingame driving with the car has several errors like 'shakes'

Thanks for the support

Hi AP_459,

Is the vehicle name in ZModeler the same as the one you are exporting it as? Is it giving an error such as it cannot find test(or something else).wft? If so just make sure the names are the same and then try exporting again.

If this was the case the car wouldn't even work in game because if the problem happens that your talking about the file size comes out as 0kb. So there is nothing there so a model wouldn't even import into the game or openiv, it would crash. He said the model imports in the game but has a problem with the wheels....

AP_459 - You maybe unintentionally moved the dummy for the front driver wheel. GO back into zmod and see where the wheel_lf dummy is, it should be wherever you want that respective wheel to be. Also I'm just curious does zmodeler export with any errors? It probably isn't since your getting a model to import

As NickieB said, the shaking could be caused by the dummy not being centered on the wheel, or it could be that the collision models for the wheels are not lined up properly
