All the ELS vehicles flash black. The indicators do the same. I changed a car in police and still doesn't flash right. The headlights work though :)

Vehicle Configuration File (VCF) is .ini file, you can read more about that in ELS v7 manual.

Yeah you have an "ELS" folder in GTA IV root folder. Inside you'll find one or several ini files; corresponding to one or several cars.

As Matosh said, be sure to read the ELS User Guide provided in ELS7 archive.

Hi. So in SP you turn siren on with H but in MP with your siren key. Is there any way that you could make keys like in SP if you get me.

And I tried with all Mods (LCPD:FR, multiple other scripts) = game runs fine!

 

I really don't know what to do. The only thing I can add is that I use 1.0.4.0 for better Mod support.

I also tried dsound and xlive, no change.

 

Funny thing is that the game ran fine on my old crappy laptop (20-25 fps), but on my new PC it keeps crashing.

The vanilla GTAIV works fine, as soon as I put in ELS 7 it crashes.

ELS v7 is not compatible with 1.0.4.0 patch.

Has anyone ran into the following problem?

 

"When playing in multiplayer, my ELS on my car works just fine, sometimes a bit too fast. When other people have theirs on it works but the lights run very, very slow; like ELS v6 slow/glitchy.  Mostly alternating every 2-3 seconds, sometimes not at all.  Extremely messed up. Then, when they turn on the siren, the lights on their car go at normal speed like it is supposed to."

 

In the past this has not happened and lights have "synced" regardless of siren or not. 

 

There is hardly any information anywhere regarding it, and I can't find a fix.  ELS just started acting like this out of the blue.  Have never had any problems with it or any other mod.  Have been losing my wits, this is driving me insane.  I've been going through every .ini and mod reinstall I can think of.  I have looked on forums and tried all suggestions, as well as some theories of my own.  The few threads or posts I found that addressed my issue specifically had no replies to them.

 

If this is a known bug, is there anyway to fix it? Reinstalls haven't worked so far.  Do I need to delete something I am missing?  I appreciate the support.

Furthermore, ELS is primarily intended for use within the single player mode of GTAIV. Thus, except for the sirens (the functionalities of which are altered and reduced in multiplayer for compatibility reasons), none of the ELS features are synchronized for other players during online play. This does not mean that ELS cannot be used in multiplayer. However, due once more to the inner-workings of GTAIV, although flash patterns may appear normal to the user, they will appear much slower or not at all for other players.

I read the ELS guide, and I understand that.  What I don't understand is why this has happened all of the sudden?  I was fine in MP, there are hundreds of other players who are fine in MP.  Why did this just randomely happen and is there any type of fix?  I'd assume if ELS had multiplayer compatibilty issues like this there would be more people with the problem and more information on it, yet there is none.  All there is is a line or two in the guide explaining that the problem may occur.

I have installed ELs v7 and my game starded crashing when im near the Broker police station. Im using LCPDFR, police helper and some car mods. Anyone know why game is crashing? Im reinstalling game now, is it better to instal ELS v6 or v7?
