Is a GTX 460 better than a GT 520?

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm still kinda new to pc gaming, and I bought a Gaming PC that had a GT520 pre installed. I have noticed while playing that my graphics really aren't good, so I have decided to look at the GTX 460 instead. Would that be a major improvement for my graphics? If it helps these are my system specs,

Operating System: Windows 7

Memory: 8GB RAM

Processor: AMD FX -4100 Quad Core (~3.6GHz)

Thanks,

According to what I've looked at on Nvidia.com, yeah the GTX 460 will be better. However those cards are rather outdated. If you could save up the money to invest in a GTX 600 series card, or even 500 series, that would be much better.

If you can't really save a lot of money, try buying the GTX 480, I know it's not produced anymore but, I think you can find it on online stores somewhere.

Or just buy the GTX 560ti. If you are out of luck, try AMD.
