Skin Images vs Mods.

Featured Replies

Finally starting to get the hang of the whole modding the game, from installing all new vehicles , els system and so on so forth..

However, where I do get slightly puzzled is, a lot of the skins for my local police departments that I wish to install into my game, are not the .wft .wtd files, they are just the images.

Can someone enlighten me on how to install the images so I can have the cars ?

Thanks,

Mathew.

Import the images (png files) into the correct wtd file (if the skin is for a cvpi and your cvpi is police2, then it's in police2.wtd).

You'll need SparkIV or OpenIV, click on the "Free Tools" link of my signature.

Open SparkIV and open your vehicles.img. Then find the .wtd file of the car which you wish to install the skin on. Click it once then click edit. It will open all the textures used on that car. There should be four (4) different skin textures. Click one of them and then import the one you wish to replace it with.

Hope this helps. It is a step-by-step guide on how to import the skins for the cars. It also shows how to import the cars themselves.

Thank you very much for this, helped enormously.

Got it done, thanks again.
