Fleeing cars crash into other vehicles

I noticed that with the new version, fleeing cars (in pursuit) don't drive around other vehicles anymore! Does anyone else have this problem, too?

I didn't edit any other files & this is the only mod I have running. They just crash into those vehicles on the road like they are ghosts :-O

I know they do that in bigger distance when they crash into a car that just spawned, but this happens with ALL excisting cars very close to me. No matter if the other cars drive or stand at traffic light - they just hit 'em from behind, making pursuits very short ;-)

I think thats more R*'s fault and not the mod, I noticed on 1070 theres more TC's than ever

But before the new version they managed to drive around the cars (most time) - and they at least tried to. Now they just drive like the streets are empty for them.

Hm, I will try using the version 90d again to see if this issue will be gone then.

Yep, putting back the old files from d, they are now able to drive around other cars.

Maybe you damaged the AIs behaviour with one of these changes from version e:

Traffic Stops: » Added some code to try and improve the part where the driver is supposed to pull to the side.

or

Pursuits: » Some little tweaks

Yep, happens to me 95% of the time, the chases lasts like 5 minutes because the fleeing suspect runs into other vehicles and damages his car. Once his car stalls/Catches fire the guy dies. I have an issue with the guy burning to death from his car, sometimes when he burns the mod doesn't think hes dead and still thinks hes a target! Sometimes when he dies for some reason the game thinks the helicopter is the bad guy if there is one assisting the chase because the red marker will follow the helicopter instead. Weird right?

Yep weird. The helicopter becomes the suspect with the red marker, but it will disappear when the helicopter is out of the area/range.

Oh dear, this doesn't sound too good. I will have a look into it and see what was changed. Perhaps when we were making the pursuits more stable something here was altered. Thanks as always for reporting this.

It's getting annoying when chases are constantly ending usually these 2 ways. 1. Suspect crashes into a traffic car and flies out of his car trought the windshield. 2. Suspects car catches to fire and explodes. (Ususally ends up blowing up backup units and several traffic cars). tongue.gif
