Lag - only occurs during shooting call-out

Featured Replies

Hey everyone, I've got an issue I'm hoping to get some help with. I'm running the latest version of LCPDFR, and a steam copy of GTAIV. I'm using an HP Pavilion dv7 laptop, and on medium graphics everything runs great, haven't had any big issues so far. The only problem I run into is whenever I get a call-out to respond to a shoot-out. I'll accept the call, start heading to the scene and then it starts lagging terribly, probably less than 15 fps. It only happens during shooting callouts, not anywhere else.

Any ideas on what might be going on?

Thanks!

Nope, none at all. Only mod installed is LCPDFR (Because I'm lazy and hate having to download an application just to add mods, ie SparkIV  :turned: )

I have the HP G7-1219wm laptop that I run GTAIV on (until I get my gaming rig back up), running at medium, and I don't get any lag during shootouts at all.  Constant 25-35fps.  Maybe try turning off shadows and water quality to low in the in-game settings.

I run the nice ELS cars in my noose and nstockade slots and have several mods installed, although can't run any ENBs without severe lag.

Good day,
