How to get rid of dirt on cars?

Featured Replies

I downloaded BPM's 2013 Explorer. Edited the skin a little bit to match the rest of my vehicles. anyway. The dirt on the car looks absolutely retarded. It's clean on one side of the hood, but filthy on the other side. Dirty on the left side of the car, but not the right..

Is there anyway i can edit this? Or maybe delete a file to make that dirt go away? Just on this car, because its stupid and ugly.

thanks in advance.

It could be something you have to edit in the skin or if you have Simple Native Trainer you can just clean your car

I don't like using trainers/cheats. Also, I don't think it would be the skin.. It's gotta be something in the wtd.

Just not sure what it could, or would be called, and how to remove/edit it without completely ruining everything :P

It cold be someone added dirt textures to the skin. Take a look in their and see if their are any textures that are dirt related.

Yeah I took a peek, and it isn't on the skin itself.

I did just find something called "vehicle_genericmud_car"

Think this could be it?

Also, if you want to remove the dirt from all the other vehicles like I did, you can go into vehshare.wtd & replace the dirt textures :)

Thank you. I'm kind of new to modifying my game.

Ok you have to go into OpenIV > Vehicles.img > vehshare.wtd, from here you replace all the dirt textures you find with a small black square you can make with any image design program, then you are ready to go!

EDIT: I will include it for you so it's faster.

k i made the black square using Gimp and imported it to all the dirt files on police.wtd and police2.wtd files and then i saved it. did all that and went back in the game....still there ugggg lol. anyway as i cycled through the cars i found one was clean and the rest dirty. going back.....when i saved after i imported the wtd files....... should i have click rebuild and then save? when you have the time...thanks in advance :)

I had attached the square to the post, but I told you to replace it in the vehshare, not only the police file. This way of course all will be dirty & not the police one...
