Command Line Question

Featured Replies

When I backed up the stuff from my last PC, I didn't back up my old commandline.txt file. So I'm going to make a new one. I don't really have FPS issues, but I believe my textures disappear more than they used to. So I was thinking of making a short one like:

-norestrictions -nomemrestrict -novblank -frameLimit 0 -availablevidmem 2000  -percentvidmem 100 -fullspecaudio

However if I'm looking to use all 2GB of my video memory, should I be putting '2', or '2000'?

I would say 2 but try both and see what happens.

I tried 2048 (my exact count in MB of memory) and it worked fine.

Hate to post a second time, but it won't bump this up otherwise.

Anybody know of a good working commandline to help with texture disappearance? I have 2GB of RAM and even without ENB I'm getting issues. I have POl1, POL2, NOOSE and POLPATRIOT modded, nothing else. This happens fairly frequently, especially traveling between islands.

I don't think command lines work, at least not in my case.  Actually makes my game run worse with the command lines that I've tried.

The texture is probably due to all the modded cars your using in the police slots, could also be traffic fixes or both.  Start replacing police, police2 with non-els low/mid poly cars and see if that helps.  Ever since I stopped modding my police1 and police2 with ELS high poly cars my textures issues all but disappeared.

Good luck,

I had this game installed with said car mods on a computer with a lesser video card and a slower processor, with an ENB and didn't have this issue. I've removed the ENB and am running on a stock game aside from the cars. I'm noticing that features of LCPDFR itself are breaking during this period too, such as any backup/EMS/helicopter commands, the equip taser feature or the arrest feature. I'll try experimenting with different tester builds and see if that fixes it at all.

I believe the command line I had before was helpful in terms of improving frame rate, but I didn't transfer it over to my new PC. I'm hoping someone with decent commandline experience could give me recommendations.
