Hold on a second, Jersey Shore. Anybody can say I have never cared about people editing my skins. HOWEVER, I do have an issue with you saying that I gave you permission for anything.

But if it is for personal use he can edit, as long as it doesnt get out of the disk no problem, why are you guys complicating everything???

He just wants it for his personal use , not to be uploaded!

 

But it would need to be uploaded for him to get it. Editing skins is a simple job that is nearly impossible to screw up unless it is a complicated skin, I do it all the time. Some people don't want their work edited and released to the public, and we should respect their wishes like you would want your wishes suspected.

1) I find it highly unlikely that you "didint know it was his". About 3 people said it was EVi's.

2)Regardless of who made it, you just lied to everyone in the community in hopes of getting help.

3) Are you really asking for help from the person who made the skin after you created a story that he gave you permission??

 

I haven't really been following this thread but it amazes me how people can just spew lies. Also, for those saying why is it such a bad thing to just modify skins, I am pretty sure you would all feel the same way if practically everything original that you released was ripped and redistributed.

^ I know people get out of hand its insane, for god sake its just a skin! not like a movie or anything where i can make money! Like i just want it for my game, im not photoshop savy, sorry . Like really i know someone could do it in like 5 mins tops. So if its really a big deal ill try to find someone else if anyone wants to be nice just send it through Private Message.

well how about you learn to skin and then you'll understand why its a big deal and to down play just shows how nieve you really are,   Then again you already lied about having permission so maybe you are nieve and possibly a little bit inmature to think its not a big deal

It's a huge deal cause some of us spend easily between 3-6 hours per skin's  per car  ( depending on the skin of the car )  you can figure  out hte rest of the math when it comes to more than 1 car how long it takes

It's a huge deal cause us textre artists pour a ton of effort into each skin ex. design  - create  - test in game -  edit- test in game again -  edit if necessary again -  finish -  then on to the next one

its not as simple as you think us texture artists that are good also take pride etc in our work

so any down playing of a texture artists / texture is disrespectful as you have no clue how much work went into the skin to get it right

and to lie about having permission to edit  some1's work  is disrespectful

Man, you have said the exact thing I was thinking. For that reason I morally don't want to take this request. As a texture artist myself I know exactly how other artist would feel if their work is used without their permission. 

I know this could be a lot simpler and no need for the complication, but can't because of selfishness, fulfill your wish by disrespecting others. That is not how the world should run.
