My School Caught Fire Today

Assuming the fire department is volunteer, that means people have to leave their homes, jobs etc to respond, and be there (fire station) in about 5 minutes, then however long it takes to gear up (should be under a minute to get full turnouts on), then with the added five minutes of travel as posted above, there's 10-15 minutes right there. If the department is a fully staffed, full time department then I can see where you're coming from, but I'm just saying, volunteer firefighters all have other stuff they're doing rather than doing regular duties at the fire station...

(EDIT: Just found the fire dept's website, they're a volly company.)

Could you imagine just eating launch getting a call that the fucking school is on fire. I would shit my pants and speed to the station.

EDIT: That kinda sounded like I was disagreeing with you, I was just saying how I would react, I get your point.

My school caught fire in our shop area last year.

It started in a ventilation duct in our shop area, because a student was grinding metal on a sander made for wood.

The students in the gym next door noticed the smoke and pulled the alarm.

The gym, shop and shop classroom were closed for a good 3-4 months, with the first few weeks/months after the fire having air purifiers going steady throughout the school.
