Build: GTA V Enhanced 1.0.1013.34 (Steam), RAGE Plugin Hook 1.130.1406.17682 (7 April 2026, official LCPDFR bundle), LSPDFR 0.4.9 Build 9572 (April 13 plugin, Mar 17 game-data). Game rep installed on Y: drive (local fixed disk, NTFS, healthy, 27.5GB free).

Reproduction steps:

1. 1.Disable BattlEye via Rockstar Launcher settings (confirmed working, -nobattleye reaches GTA cmdline)

2. 2.Add Defender folder exclusion for the game folder

3. 3.Either: (a) double-click RAGEPluginHook.exe as admin, or (b) launch GTA via Rockstar Launcher to main menu, then attach RPH

4. 4.GTA crashes in ~30 seconds with the modal "Could not hook game process. Insufficient permissions or bad anti-virus..."

Crash signature (Event Viewer, identical across 5+ attempts):

• Faulting application: GTA5_Enhanced.exe v1.0.1013.34

• Faulting module: KERNELBASE.dll

• Exception code: 0xE0434352 (CLR / .NET unhandled exception)

• Fault offset: 0xC1C0A

Confirmed NOT the cause (I tested each):

• LSPDFR plugin (renamed Plugins/ → Plugins_disabled, crash still reproduces exactly same offset)

• BattlEye (off via launcher, -nobattleye confirmed in cmdline)

• Defender real-time (exclusion in place, write-test in folder succeeds)

• Disk health / write permissions (test write to Logs/ succeeds including creation time set)

• D3D12 / DX12 path (RPH detaches or GTA never gets past DX12 init in time)

• Code signing (RPH is unsigned as always; R* exe is valid signed)

• In-game version mismatch (RPH log shows Is enhanced version: True, build 1.0.1013.34 — matches)

System specifics that may matter:

• Windows 11 build 26200

• VBS / Memory Integrity enabled (status 2)

• Rockstar Launcher v1.0.107.2944

• .NET Framework 4.8.9337

Was it a one time crash or does it crash always?
When does it crash?

Did you change anything prior to receiving the crashes, like mods?

You need to add RagePluginHook.exe itself as an exception too, probably why you are still getting the AV message

i think i have sorted it, i was using enhanced edition GTA V, went to legacy and it worked...
