What's your favorite song from the Cold War era? (1947-1991)

Mine would be "99 Red balloons" by nena.

For those of you that don't know that song is about a communist invasion and the "red" balloons are the soviet fighter jets.

Then also I would have to say "we didn't start the fire" by Billy Joel. This song gives you a brief history lession from 1950s to late 70s maybe early 80s

Well yes it is, but it doesn't have to be about the Cold War just needs to be a song from that time. Like Johnny cash, Elvis ect.... Also so we don't get any modern day crap gives people a chance to listen to some mustic from the 50s and what not. So yes it is a odd question everyone has a song they like from that time piroed because that's when music really started to become popular.

My favourite group Guns N' Roses, from it's formation in 1984-5 to 1990, when they fired Adler. I love the old Skid Row too. These are not my favourites, but I really like them too!

Personally I love the 60s, the music was better and also the cars looked bad ass.... Don't get me wrong I do like things from today such as tech and some cars and music...
