Greetings hive mind!

I´ve gotten it into my head to increase the variety of police vehicles in my game and i was tired of seing the weird cruisers that MP adds. I have ran into a few Issues it´s a little weird.

Example 1: Replacing certain Vehicles simply doesnt work. Really feisty ones are the polgauntlet, polcoquette, police5, polcaracara and polterminus. I havent tried all patchdays yet but some get one of em in some dont, i dont know if just doing all patchdays might help. I have located each patchday that intruduced these vehicles and replaced them there, still didnt work. yft files look fine.

Example 2: Replacing the polfaction2 worked, so did polgreenwood but the skin it came with doesnt really work - I have a screenshot attached, those two look the same, another screenshot shows it in the yft and how it is supposed to look like.

If any of you has any ideas and need more information don´t hesitate to post. All help is appreciated!

I will just switch to Add on Cars and have em patrol and backup using the agency xml

Using addon cars is easier in my honest opinion. You won’t have to deal with any issues replaces come with and you get extra slots.

Agency xmls will handle ambiently spawned units. For customising backup units you’ll need to edit the policing redefined or ultimate backup xmls (depends on what you have installed).

yeah, at first i thought replacing was easy, well it was with the base police cars but if you want to have more or more variety for the agencys its just a pain - cheers tho.

I recommend you use Albos Modding DLC as it is still working to this day. it saves you all the hassle in having to go through patchday files and it makes life easy. I've been using it and it has never been better. the Modding DLC is a simple drag and drop

if you don't want these new DLC police vehicles to show up just go to your lspdfr.ini and make sure Main.WorkaroundDLCVehicles = false

I assume you might know about this but just to re clarify.

I don't usually mess around with the dlc vehicles as i have tried it once and its a struggle for me so I just disable them,

Also you might want to try lennys mod loader that seems to work with me adding cars and eup uniforms automatically
