Fraps Lags GTA IV

So whenever I start recording on Fraps it starts to lag GTA, I was wondering why it done it when it was recording but was fine when it wasn't

Fraps will reduce your frame rate in most games, you can try setting it to record in half size and then select and average FPS you get in-game (I have mine set to 35 FPS) and that should reduce the lag a bit.

Easy solution....don't use FRAPS.

I use Bandicam, and I get a much better performance, if you check out any of my videos I only drop to 27~ FPS.

I also record to a separate HDD than what GTA IV is installed on, but I do record at full 1080p.
