My friend can crash my game

Featured Replies

There is a feature in Grand Theft Auto V that allows you to call people on your GTA friends list when they are online.

My friend (who was also on duty and playing LSPDFR at the time) called me using the phone in GTA and it crashed my game. We tested this multiple times and found that this will crash my game if I have LSPDFR loaded and are on duty. This is extremely broken and needs attention. (NOTE: THIS IS NOT A PHONE MOD OR FIVEM, THIS IS THE PHONE IN GTA V ITSELF THAT ALLOWS YOU TO PRESS CALL ON YOUR FRIEND)

Hello

I just tested this myself and didn't even have the option to call a friend. Can you screenshot the ingame phone or show the process?

Upload your latest RagePluginHook.log as well please

Will do now, I will get my POV and my friend's POV. I can attach the log also

I also dont have the option to call a friend I just have "view profile" but my friend does and when they call me it crashed my game (thought it was unrelated but we shared our screens and tested it a few times) I've only had it happen when Im on duty, attached below is the log, I will send my POV and my friends POV shortly when their clip is in my possession

Just to be clear, it only happens when you are on duty and your friend is not? Does this include your friend running RPH at all?

Heres the log. To be clear it happens regardless of whether my friend is on duty or not but has RPH running. It only happens when I am on duty.

I've not been able to reproduce this internally, but if this as you describe, it's likely that the game's DRM or RPH's or Scripthook V's anti-online stuff is forcing a crash.

I don't see any security issue here, and it's most likely been an issue for a long time, my advice is to not have anyone who you don't want to interrupt your sessions on your GTA Online friend list.

I'll forward this internally on for further exploration in the future.

Thought that might be the answer (the wording in my initial post made the issue seem bigger than it was, sorry about that)

No worries, it's definitely a weird one worth us looking into. I'm guessing in your POV video where it stops at the end is a crash to desktop?

Yes, unfortunately medal didnt show the crash as it captures application, but where it ends is where I crash to desktop with a rage crash report
