The SAHP AI in my game is using the police3 vehicle, which is an LSPD Tahoe for me. I want to change the vehicle that they use to fbi2, which is my highway patrol replacement vehicle. Can somebody please help me with my issue, I can't seem to figure it out. Thanks.

Basically, you have to rename the vehicles files and the ELS (if it has it). My SAHP is police4 so, say my 2020 explorer for SAHP is labeled as "police" in the installer. I have to rename all the files from "police" to "police4" and then take the ELS that is labeled "police" and make that "police4." Renaming it police4 will make it so that the LSPD AI back-up won't use the 2020 explorer anymore because it falls under police4, which is SAHP. In your case if I am correct you want to rename your vehicle files from "police3" to "fbi2." So, you would just rename all the stuff labeled as "police3" and name it "fbi2" so it will fall under your SAHP category. Not 100% sure if that is what you're asking but hope it possibly helps and that a staff member can assist you!

Is this with ambiently spawned units or backup from UB/PR?

It happens with ultimate backup, but I don't know if it happens with ambiently spawned units. How can I check?

So just reinstall the car but change it so that all the files and ELS say police3?

Typically, with me if I want to use a vehicle say it is for SAHP like your case and it is labeled as "police2." I change it to "police4" so then Ultimate back-up, back-up units will use that car and just all the SAHP units besides the motor units.

Ok, I've played for a bit more and it seems that its the Ultimate Backup units that are using the wrong vehicle, how can I change it so that highway patrol UB units use fbi and fbi2 instead of police3?

How do you not know when the problems occur? Do units that randomly drive past you have the wrong cars or only units that you called via ultimate backup.

You can’t „check“ since you can’t forcefully spawn ambient units.

If it’s solely UB, you can change the cars used by it in the UB XML files found in Plugins-LSPDFR-UltimateBackup.

Simply find the entries you’re looking to change and swap the vehicles inside the <vehicle> tags.

My bad, it is just the UB units. Sorry if I am asking too much, but which .xml file is it that I should edit in the ultimate backup folder?

Whichever one has the SAHP units. Those are called state patrol in UB.

I believe there’s quite a lot of them so you’ll need to find the subregion you’re looking to change (i.e. state units called in Blaine county/LS etc.).
