I started my computer as usual. But when I started RPH it took a few seconds and then a message popped up saying, "unable to launch game, please try reinstalling the game." and so I tried again, but same thing happened. I then tried reinstalling lspdfr to see if that was the issue, but the issue seems to be that Gta 5 can't start at all, not even without lspdfr/rph. And so i tried veryfing the game files but nothing out of the ordinary was found, i unstalled the game and then reinstalled it, but still nothing works. I have tried to run RPH as an adiminstrator and GTA aswell, but it just doesn't work. I also uninstalled rockstar games launcher and SDK and installed (I did that twice), I've updated my graphics driver so that it's up to date, my windows has no update available, no viruses is to be found, but the issue still persists. I've tried over 10 youtube tutorials where people have the same issue, and while it fixes it for them it just doesnt do anything for me.

 

I know it seems impossible to solve but if anyone has experienced this before, please tell me how to fix it.

I read that for some people it helped to delete scripthook v(its considered an update, and the version no longer matches) and all mods completely, but i dont think thats the best move right now. Aslo looks like a ton of people all over the world are getting this error too after the 50mb rockstar games launcher update. Seems like if nothing works, we just gotta wait for a possible scripthook v update - if i got it right. Im too lazy to delete everything, but you can try if u want - just without most of the mods, obviously.

Delete Rockstar Game Launcher and Rockstar SDK then Reinstall them. Once you have done that disable Battle Eye in the Rockstar Launcher Settings. After this navigate to your root directory and delete. args.txt (You can rename it aargs.txt if you don't want to delete it).

 

From there launch it RagePluginHook and your game should fire right up.

 

This is what helped me and it comes from the RagePluginHook Discord Support channels.

yeah ive got an  50mb update that caused this error     PookiethePOPO fix is working

You can just search for rockstar games launcher install on the internet and download it that way.

Great, thanks. That's how it was again (https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/rockstar-games-launcher) , and the SDK will install automatically. Just like it did yesterday with the update.

 

1) uninstall.exe in Program Files\Rockstar Games\Launcher
2) Install: Rockstar-Games-Launcher.exe
3) Launch: Rockstar Games Launcher --> Automatic update + SKD installation
4) Log in via Rockstar Games Launcher --> Settings and disable BattlEye
5) Launch via Steam

 

I've tried other things without success:

6. Checked Steam files for errors

7. Manual SDK installation via Social-Club-Setup.exe

Still getting the error message "Reinstalling the game"

Which directory should I manually delete the SDK from?
Or am I doing something wrong in the above section?

Go to your root directory and delete args.txt (You can rename it aargs.txt if you don't want to delete it).

Can confirm that this does indeed fix the problem, but am now experiencing a crash when loading into the world. Will open a new thread if it persists and unrelated to this thread.

Yes, deactivating / renaming the *args.txt helped.
Interesting, the text file is actually about preventing Battleye from starting. And it's from ScriptHookV, if I'm not mistaken. Great, thanks again!
