Hi My name is Daragh. I am new to LCPDFR but I have seen many videos in the past. I have just signed but my Laptop is very slow and every time I play games it freezes. Now I want to buy Gta but I have got a feeling it might not work. Has anyone got any suggestions on what I can do to make it not freeze?

First, post your computer specs then people can begin to 'evaluate' your computer to see if gta will work.

However, a laptop is NOT recommended when it comes to GTA IV.

Thank you for your help, And what are specs because I dont fully understand what you mean there. Also will it help if I delete lots of stuff off my laptop and get more space, Because if I make it run faster Surely it will make games run a bit faster.

Download AIDA23, thats a small programm what show you all your specs... post your specs on this forum ;p

There is already a program installed on every home PC with DirectX

 

type "dxdiag" into your search bar on the programs menu, save all information in a notepad file then paste it here

No you won't be able to run GTA 4 with that..... If you can manage to launch it, it will run really slow and unplayable....

With the specs of your laptop, there's nothing you can do to play GTA IV. You'll have to buy a different PC.

That won't even play on the barest and ugliest of settings. You need a new Computer dude.

Yea. I really need one. Its a Toshiba Laptop I thought it would work fine because its a good make but obuasly not. I need a PC I could sell my laptop and put some money towards it because I have £45.

This won't do any better, almost got the same Hardware as the one you have at the moment.

No, it won't work either. You're going to have to invest some cash into a desktop that's actually designed to run games.
