New vdhPoliceHelper, Bait Car trouble

Featured Replies

As the title states I have the latest police helper 1.1.0b and I am having trouble with the bait cars menu. Let me start with the game and what I've done so far. Latest GTAIV version 7. LCPDFR, vdhtow mod, vdhpolicehelper(replaced the original with this B), vdhK-9, vdhMETT, latest scripthookdotnet and dll installed. Installed the latest versions of everything and the game runs fine, however if I try to do the bait car stuff the trouble starts. I can open the helper menu, request any car, and it shows up. I park the car somewhere out of traffic and drive away to watch. A ped spawns but just stands there indefinitely. If I try to open the helper menu at this point it will not open and the bait car is "stuck." Even if I drive the car wherever, or blow it up, the blue arrow overhead remains and I cannot re-open the helper menu. I can still play the game, pull people over, arrest people, or go off duty as normal, but cannot reopen the helper. I have the error report here:

=== [3/20/2013 9:05:38 PM] === PoliceHelper ERROR: Bait car Tick1 section crashed

Hoping someone can help with this issue? I love all these mods but wonder if there's conflict with something?  Thanks in advance! As a side note, I have four versions of GTAIV running on my laptop. Two versions run this new police helper, but only this one has the K-9 and METT scripts. Also FYI I am running the World Trade Center map mod in the version with issues, and GhostPeak Mountain in the version that works fine.

Does it happen EVERY time you try to run bait car mission, or only sometimes?
Post also your scripthookdotnet.log because the error you show here is from 1.0.0 version and should not kill whole PoliceHelper scripts. If PoliceHelper adds new log entry it means that crash protection worked and script is still fine. Your obviously crashes as a whole script so that error should be listed in ScriptHookDotNet.log.

The error you posted is very rare and occurs only on some systems. It may be a bug in ScriptHook or even a game, because code is absolutely fine there. I'll try to put there another protection and will send you test version.

Next time post in official thread. I rarely look through "new content" list.
